DANGEROUS TREES

Fort Salonga Road has a number of large, old trees which abut the road and represent a potential hazard should they fall on a passing car. With the winter weather approaching, the likelihood of such an occurrence increases. We have been in touch with N.Y. State DOT since 25A is a State road and requested they inspect the trees in the Fort Salonga section of 25A and prune or remove any weak or diseased branches and trees.

Unfortunately, they are unwilling to do so but will inspect any specific tree that a resident feels is a danger. We are therefore suggesting that if you have such a tree on or near your property you call Mr. Lou Farini at N.Y. State DOT and request an inspection. He can be reached at 385-7261
